Off to ye old' Strawberry Farm

These are the long awaited photos of my trip to the local strawberry farm as mentioned here, in my failed attempt to make the said strawberry's into a strawberry shortcake :'(

I've gone on a bit of a photo binge, so I'll keep the text short and succint-

I love the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, I used to go there a lot when I was little so it was nice to reminisce. Yes even at the fledgling age of 17 one already begins to be nostalgic..

This is Miss.PS (Purple Sunglasses), the only one brave enough to ride through the hills, with a P-Plater, in a van! Don't worry though, we didn't die ;) Have to admit I'm a pretty amazing driver.

Strawberry's, Strawberry's, Strawberry's. *nom nom nom*

Embarrassing thing is I thought that you were allowed to eat as many strawberries as you wanted once you got on the farm, turns out I WAS WRONG!!

"Well Duh!?" said dad, " they don't just hand them out for free. They work on trust charging you only for what you bring out"

Miss PS and I just sat down in the middle of the field stuffing our face. Geez! No wonder we were getting such dirty looks ** I'm VERY sorry Mister Beerenberg ** I promise I'll buy heaps of goods next time I go up to make up for it!!

We then went for a stroll down the main street of Hahndorf. Mmm, what a lovely little place. The shops are so cute aren't they?

To finish off I got a german sausage sizzle with sauerkraut (it's a bit like pickled cabbage). The sausage was a bit spicy, but still very yummy ^_^

Cat Woman got it wrong!

All this time she has worn a black mask when it's obvious she should have been wearing one more like this...

Okay well, she'd probably get caught more easily because it sparkles in the darkness and all those pointy bits could get caught and hamper her escape and the decoration is probably a bit over the top for a thief..

Haha well maybe this mask isn't suited to comic book characters. In fact I think its more suited to us ordinary folk. Maybe not to the local shops to buy milk, but hey! if you want to do that, you do it!
But it's probably more suited to a masked ball, or fancy formal, you'd look a million dollars!

So make a statement and wear a mask!

You just hand it out for FREE!?

The biggest reason I buy magazines is for the fashion shoots. The scenery alone is amazing! let alone the fashion. So when I find out that Shop Til You Drop posts their shoots on tumblr, THE DAY THE MAGAZINE COMES OUT. I went RAWRUERFFFFFF!!! (CRAZY/RABID)

I guess they expect people to buy the mag for the content, and I have to admit I might still buy it (if the shoot is REALLY good), but still as if they just hand it out for free!?

The first three shoots below are from this months issue (February 2012) while the rest are just pretty pictures I discovered/re-discovered on their tumblr.

** LOVE the white dress in the middle, note to self: MAKE ONE, NOW!**

The full shoots and more photos can be found at their tumblr here.

Strawberry Shortcake turned Parfait!

Mmm.. I had attempted to bake a strawberry shortcake, but the sponge cake didn't rise at all :'(

So I turned it into something something mess* Do you know it..? I've forgotten the name :S
I saw it on master chef, but it's basically like a parfait :3

I used strawberries picked from a local strawberry farm, (but I'll post about that later :P )

It's just broken pieces of the failed sponge, cream, sliced strawberries, chocolate syrup and crushed meringue. Just layer it in a fancy looking glass and Voila!

His name was TJ...

Doesn't the beach look BEAUTIFUL!?

My dad suddenly got a flea in his ear about fitness so on Saturday morning we set-off early and rode our bikes to the beach.

It's about a 12km ride, but thankfully there is a dedicated bicycle path so you don't have to worry about traffic. ^_^

Once there I had a macadamia nut ice-cream (so much for healthy!), but it was sooo good. There was gooey caramel running through the entire ice-cream <3

On the way back we started talking to this little boy called TJ, he was so cute! >_< He happened to be riding behind my dad and my dad then, thinking it  was me, started racing him. When I finally caught up the boy had stopped on the side of the path and was puffing his little heart out! He'd really given it his all racing dad. Nawwwwwwww----

Apparently his name was Tarance? Never met a Tarance before...

And these were our noble steeds, mine's the red one, but I REALLY want a sports racer like my dad's. He picked it up at a junk sale for $20. Only thing is it's a women's bike, but he loves it all the same.

Overall, it was a really good ride and if you want to get fit, I highly recommend leisurely bicycle rides!

She's found the Treasure!

Ugh.. my first attempt at splicing a photo.. Not Amazing, but still I am impressed :)

Went into the city with my grandma today, she gets really restless staying at home/around the house all day so I thought we'd take a trip out-- naww love my grandma <3

Going with the 'grandma vibe' I decided to use my new bag, another PROUD vintage find I got it for $3!, it has a tapestry design. That's old style ... isn't it?

Anyway, enough of my self-doubt, on the way home I dropped into another op-shop as a treat for being such a nice grand-daughter ^_^

AND FOUND THIS!!!!         NUGHHHHHHHH!!
My very own Treasure Chest!

How pretty is it?  Gawd, I'm in love-

Also got some Novo boots for $4.50 and a Sportsgirl bag for $1 (they really put some amazing stuff in the bargain bin, what are these people THINKING!?)

And these are two items in preparation of my lil' party soon. Why? Shh - its a secret for now***

Me posing, stupidly, on my own... I get so embarrassed taking these photos >_<

Case of the Missing Necklace!

HELLO, HELLO!!

A lookbook post, my first of the new year ^_^

I had a friends party yesterday and wore this. I like to think of it as my attempt at 're-creating' the western, cutsie look featured in many japanese magazines as of late.

Normally I would be hesitant wearing high boots with a skirt, as they do add such a "sweet" vibe, but why go half way? So I dolled myself up and headed out :3

I was so happy when I found this in a long forgotten pocket in my suitcase *_*

I bought it in japan (2 years AGO!!), and it's been missing ever since...

A STEAL, found this bag in the bargain bin at SALVOS for $1~~ SCORE!!!

Me and my baby <3 <3

In the end it wasn't as good as the other party (which I will post about later >_0) .
Everyone just sat around twiddling their thumbs... How awkward >_<

But I was SUPER HAPPY with my outfit choice, so that was good*** Isn't amazing how happy a good outfit can make you feel?
