The State Library

 

I've never actually been to the State Library, and I regret it! Although, I'm always complaining about DEADelaide I haven't even seen all that it has on offer in my 17 years of existence-

Today we had an excursion to the library to help with research on an Independent History Essay, (mine's on 'Romanticism'***) and I cannot believe how amazing the books were!Seriously people if you want to do ANY KIND OF RESEARCH, switch off the computer and go to the STATE LIBRARY!!! The WorldWideWeb has nothing on this badboy. Downside though, you can't borrow the books, so I'm hoping to buy these one's off Amazon tonight...

For lunch we got to wander around Rundle and I came across this lovely work of street art, of my favourite converse wearing nerd, the Doctor. Ahh, Day Made.

Hush Puppies

Having a real moment with these shoes. Yes, I realise that they're from harris scarfes (a notoriously old people's store) and have no heel in sight, BUT i'm really interested in the new rockabilly/goth/rocker trend that's been having a 2nd life this year. Plus, they look crazy comfortable.

They remind me a bit of a toned-down version of the girl's shoes in the photo below>>>

I also wouldn't mind giving the androgynous hair thing a go too, as styled by ViVi (Feb 2012)

So, what do you think? A trend worth hopping into... or out of?
